Perfect resto to taste delicious Japanese Sushi in Tsukiji Tokyo

This is my favorite sushi place in Tokyo. Everything is just so amazing and fresh. Very good service. They have two restaurants at the market. The other place is always busy and there is long line to get in. This one is not so crowded and easy to get a seat. Fatty tuna!!!!!!

Very good, great tasty sushi. Only issue is that it's quite expensive similar to most sushi places in Tsukiji. There's a huge choice and many of the staff speak fluent English. Certainly worth the price although there are cheaper sushi places out there.

Good sushi. Friendly staff. English friendly.

Textbook definition of a tourist trap. In reality, this Sushizanmai location is “sloppy sushi with a side of shockingly horrible serviceâ€. During my experience, I witnessed a 3rd floor waiter yelling in frustration, “drink! drink! water! tea! drink!†at a table of tourists because they couldn’t speak Japanese while taking drink orders.. The other diners, including myself just watched in dismay then proceeded to quickly and quietly finish our sloppy sushi. Simply put, the people working there are unhappy and the vibe is quite evident. In terms of food, the quality of fish is decent but what one would expect at a fish market and certain price point. However, the presentation is abysmal as if the chefs have little pride in their work or interest in things like: making straight, neat cuts, arranging sushi uniformly and consistency. I should have read some of the negative reviews prior to my visit as my experience doesn’t seem to be a fluke or just a “bad dayâ€.

Tasty sushi at a great price point. We ordered the Kokoroiki sushi set pictured to share between the two of us and they kindly split the side of miso soup into two bowls without us having to ask. If you don't order a drink they will fill you up on green tea for free.

Come here every time I m in Tokyo purely for the sashimi. Don’t expect good service or gourmet cooked food. Cooked food mediocre at best. However, the amount of tourists they see (aka pplp like me) ensures that the seafood moves fast and hence the sashimi are really fresh. It’s cheap in comparison to proper sushi places so we cannot really complain. Go early or at weird timings to avoid crowds.

Amazing sushi experience in Japan. They cannot be fresher, as they are all made upon request, in front of you. As a tourist, the variety of sushi is of course impressive, and the tastiness of different tuna pieces is remarkable. Great service and dynamic cooks. The cup of green tea was constantly refilled. Worth going on early morning, because I can imagine this place gets really crowded!

Nice sushi. Price is reasonable. Fresh sashimi. Spend at least S$30 per person.

Love this place.... the sushi is fresh and prices are reasonable. It has a mascot standing outside that looks like a plump happy man and later I searched and found out that he’s the Tuna King! And most important of all... it has a toilet inside! So hard to find one in the outer market area.

This place is a must if in Tokyo. Tasty food at a good price. It is Clean and there is no rush to get you out. You will be satisfied.

Probably the worst sushi I had in Tokyo, but still loads better than anything the states has to offer. Sushi in Japan sets an entirely different bar for greatness and this location is only so-so. Our first chef had unsharpened knives and the cut was visibly serated instead of smooth. However, at shift change our second chef was leaps and bounds better. His skill was clearly a notch above his colleague. I averaged the two and gave the joint 3 stars.

If you decide to go there be prepared to have the divinely delicious sushi for a bit higher price. This is well known place for shushi lovers

This is the Sushi zanmai in tsukiji market with more tables other than bar seating. Still some of the best tuna I've ever had in my life! I come here every year that I visit!

Fresh and delicious tuna at a relatively good price. Not really affordable but not expensive either. ¥1280 for a 5-kinds tuna sushi set. Good service, food was fast to arrive. I also appreciate the electronic ordering system via a tablet per table, a cool modern touch in an otherwise traditional sushi shop.

Great sashimi bowl for very reasonable price and lively atmosphere -- I wish I could understand Japanese as the local patrons were enjoying fun banter with staff.
